Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 24, 2026
This policy explains what personal information WesJackson.ai collects through news.wesjackson.ai and the newsletters published there, including Cleared to Act, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
WesJackson.ai is a brand of Third Ralph, LLC, a Texas limited liability company, 3201 Bee Caves Rd, Ste 120, #163841, Austin, TX 78716, United States. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Third Ralph, LLC, doing business as WesJackson.ai. Questions about privacy go to readers@wesjackson.ai.
Information we collect
Information you give us.
- Your email address, when you subscribe to a newsletter.
- Anything you write to us, including replies to a newsletter and privacy requests.
Information collected when you read a newsletter. Our email provider, Loops, records whether an email was delivered, opened, or bounced, and which links in it were clicked. It also records which lists you are subscribed to, the date you subscribed and confirmed, and the page you signed up from.
Information collected when you visit news.wesjackson.ai. When you allow it, analytics and advertising tools on the site collect:
- the pages you view, the page that referred you, and how long you stay;
- your browser, device type, operating system, and language;
- an approximate location derived from your IP address;
- identifiers stored in cookies or similar technologies, which let these tools recognize your browser on later visits;
- for advertising tools, whether you arrived from one of our ads and whether you went on to subscribe.
We use these tools on the site:
| Tool | Provider | What it is for |
|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics | Google LLC | Measuring how the site is used |
| Google Ads tag | Google LLC | Measuring and targeting ads on Google |
| Meta Pixel | Meta Platforms, Inc. | Measuring and targeting ads on Facebook and Instagram |
| LinkedIn Insight Tag | LinkedIn Corporation | Measuring and targeting ads on LinkedIn |
| TikTok Pixel | TikTok Inc. | Measuring and targeting ads on TikTok |
The site's hosting (Amazon Web Services) processes your IP address and request details to deliver pages. We do not keep server logs of those requests.
We do not ask for and do not knowingly collect sensitive information, such as health, financial, or government identification data.
How we use information
- To send the newsletters you asked for. This includes the confirmation email, the recent issues sent when you first subscribe, and each new edition.
- To run and improve the newsletters and the site. We look at opens, clicks, and site analytics to learn which subjects readers find useful.
- To reply to you when you write to us.
- To promote the newsletters. Advertising tools let us measure which ads lead to subscriptions, show ads to people who have visited the site, and reach people similar to our visitors on Google, Meta, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
- To keep the service secure and to comply with the law.
We do not upload subscribers' email addresses to advertising platforms.
Legal bases (European Economic Area, United Kingdom, Switzerland)
If you are in one of these places, we rely on:
- your consent to send newsletters and to use analytics and advertising cookies and pixels;
- our legitimate interests in keeping the site and the newsletters running securely and in answering messages;
- legal obligation where the law requires us to keep or disclose information.
You can withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing that happened before it.
How we share information
Service providers. These companies process information for us under contracts that limit how they may use it:
- Loops (email delivery, subscription management, and the preference center);
- Amazon Web Services (website hosting);
- Google Workspace (receiving and storing the email you send us).
Analytics and advertising partners. Google, Meta, LinkedIn, and TikTok receive information from their tags on our site. Each also uses that information for its own purposes under its own privacy policy, which makes it an independent controller of that information. You can read their policies:
- Google: https://policies.google.com/privacy
- Meta: https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy
- LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy
- TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/legal/privacy-policy
Other cases. We disclose information when the law requires it, to protect the rights and safety of readers or others, or as part of a transfer of the newsletters to a new owner, who would be bound by this policy.
We do not sell personal information for money. Under some US state laws, letting advertising partners collect information through their tags for targeted advertising counts as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. You can opt out, as described below.
Cookies and your choices
Analytics and advertising tags use cookies and similar technologies. Where the law requires consent, including in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, these tags run only after you agree through the cookie choices shown on the site. You can change your choices at any time through the "Your privacy choices" link at the bottom of every page.
You can also:
- block or delete cookies in your browser settings;
- install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout;
- adjust ad preferences in your Google, Meta, LinkedIn, and TikTok accounts.
We honor the Global Privacy Control signal. If your browser sends it, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale and sharing of your personal information for targeted advertising.
Newsletter choices
Every newsletter email includes a link to manage your subscriptions or unsubscribe from all of our emails. Unsubscribing stops further newsletters. We keep a record of your address as unsubscribed so that we do not email you again by mistake.
How long we keep information
- Subscription records: for as long as you are subscribed, and after you unsubscribe for as long as we need a record of the unsubscription.
- Email you send us: as long as it is useful for corresponding with you, then deleted.
- Google Analytics data: 14 months.
- Advertising partners: they keep information according to their own policies.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- know what personal information we hold about you and get a copy;
- correct it;
- delete it;
- receive it in a portable format;
- object to or restrict certain processing;
- opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising;
- withdraw consent.
This includes residents of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, and other US states with consumer privacy laws.
To make a request, email readers@wesjackson.ai. We may ask you to confirm the request from the email address it concerns. We respond within the time the law allows, usually 30 to 45 days. You may use an authorized agent where the law permits. We will not treat you differently for exercising these rights.
If we decline your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision with "Appeal" in the subject line. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
International transfers
We are based in the United States, and our service providers process information there. If you are outside the United States, your information is transferred to and processed in the United States. Where the law requires it, these transfers rely on safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Children
The site and newsletters are meant for working professionals. They are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has subscribed, email readers@wesjackson.ai and we will delete the information.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections to the site and access controls on the accounts that hold subscriber information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we update the effective date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use subscribers' information, we will say so in a newsletter before it takes effect.
